STRONG SHOWING FROM 7TH AND 8TH GRADE CROSS COUNTRY RUNNERS AT MCGREGOR
On a hot Saturday morning, the 7th and 8th grade cross country teams showed up ready to compete at McGregor ISD, taking on a challenging 2-mile course alongside runners from 22 other schools.
Despite tough competition and rising temperatures, our athletes gave it their all and demonstrated true grit, determination, and school spirit. The meet was a great test of endurance and mental toughness, and our runners rose to the occasion.
Our top performers from 7th grade were Ava Smith who completed her two mile run in 16:33.35, finishing 20th overall, and Jace Ramesar who finished 81st with a time of 18:15.41. From 8th grade, Kate Jones was our top performer who finished in 16:22.18 taking 29th place.
All of our runners should be proud of their efforts! Competing against over 20 schools is no small task, and each student-athlete represented our school with pride and determination. The coaches are excited about the progress being made and are looking forward to the rest of the season!
