CROSS COUNTRY TEAMS COMPETE AT YOE TOWN HARRIERS MEET IN CAMERON
On Wednesday evening, our middle school cross country team traveled to Cameron to compete in the Yoe Town Harriers Middle School Cross Country Meet. This event challenged every athlete with a tough two-mile course in hot conditions, but our runners showed incredible perseverance and determination from start to finish.
We were proud to bring a strong group of athletes to the meet, including five 8th grade girls, eleven 7th grade girls, and two 7th grade boys. Despite the heat and the difficulty of the course, each runner pushed themselves and represented our school with grit and teamwork.
Our athletes turned in some great performances on the course. For the 8th grade girls, Kate Jones finished in 50th place with a time of 16:51. In the 7th grade girls’ division, Dahlia Dunkin earned a 13th-place medal with a strong time of 15:44. On the 7th grade boys’ side, Jace Ramesar crossed the finish line in 54th place with a time of 18:07.
The Yoe Town Harriers Meet was not only a great test of endurance but also an opportunity for our runners to grow in confidence and gain valuable race experience. The coaching staff is extremely proud of the effort, resilience, and sportsmanship each athlete displayed throughout the meet. Their determination in tough conditions reflects the hard work they’ve been putting into practice each day.
