The team came out strong and never let up, using powerful and consistent serving to take control early in both sets. Leading the charge was Madison Lewis, who had an outstanding performance with 12 service points, including five aces. Her steady and aggressive serves kept Lamar on their heels, forced errors, and helped Belton build leads. Raelynn Saldana also played a key role in the serving game, contributing seven serves and two aces that kept the momentum in Belton’s favor. The Lady Tigers played with confidence and focus, showing off their growth as a team and their ability to dominate in all areas of the game. Leading the charge was Avery Mills, who set the tone with strong, consistent serving and excellent leadership on the court. Her calm presence and ability to direct teammates during tight plays helped keep Belton organized and in control throughout the match. Sophie Hughes had a standout performance as well, contributing with solid serving, powerful hits, and smart tips at the net. Her ability to adjust in real-time and make strategic plays gave Belton a clear edge during key moments. In the back row, Gracelynn Garelick anchored the defense with impressive digs and coverage, never letting the ball hit the floor without a fight. She also added powerful attacks from behind the 10-foot line, keeping Lamar guessing and earning key points for the Tigers. But once Belton settled in, the tide turned quickly — and in the second set, the Lady Tigers completely dominated. A’rihanna Baker set the tone with a string of powerful serves that the Lamar defense simply could not handle, piling on points and swinging the momentum fully in Belton’s favor. Alli McCoy stunned the crowd with an incredible back-row kill that left the Lamar players frozen, unable to respond. Sutton Wagner kept the pressure on with a series of aces, and her fearless dives (two of them successful saves) showed the kind of hustle and determination that defines this team. Jah’mani Johnson delivered consistency from the service line, racking up 10 straight successful serves that gave BMS the point every single time. With each serve, the crowd grew louder and Lamar’s confidence shrank further. By the end of the match, the Lady Tigers had not only won but made a statement.
