BMS CROSS COUNTRY TEAMS COMPETE AT SOUTH BELTON INVITATIONAL
On Wednesday evening, our cross country teams raced at the South Belton Middle School Invitational. Cooler weather made for ideal conditions, and our athletes took full advantage, with many runners shaving off as much as two minutes from their previous times. Every athlete gave their best effort, making it a strong showing for our teams.
In the 7th grade girls’ race, Dahlia Dunkin led the way, placing 19th with an impressive time of 14:09. She was followed closely by Ava Smith, who finished 33rd in 14:38.
For the 8th grade girls, Kate Jones turned in a standout performance, finishing 21st overall with a time of 13:32. Ava Boeselt also had a strong run, crossing the line in 74th place with a time of 15:24.
On the 7th grade boys’ team, Jace Ramesar finished in 59th place with a time of 16:18, while Weston Rodriguez came in at 78th place with a time of 18:38.
The South Belton Invitational was a successful meet all around, showcasing both the progress and determination of our athletes. The coaches are proud of the effort, improvement, and perseverance shown by each runner, and we look forward to even more growth in the meets ahead.
