In the opening set, BMS struggled to find their rhythm, giving SC Lee just enough confidence to think they had a chance. Their underhand serves couldn't stand up to the power and precision of BMS’s overhand serves, which came raining down with speed and accuracy that silenced the home crowd. Leading the charge was A’ri’anna Baker, who put on a serving clinic. She dominated from the line with 12 aces in a row, racking up 14 total for the night. On top of her blistering serves, she added 4 assists that set up her teammates for big points. Every time she stepped back to serve, the energy in the gym spiked, and SC Lee had no answers for her consistency and firepower. Right alongside her was Jah’mani Johnson, whose serve is nearly impossible to read. Whether she was going short, deep, or right down the middle, SC Lee never knew what was coming. Her unpredictability kept them on their heels, and she landed 8 successful serves that built momentum and helped BMS run away with the game.
