BELTON MIDDLE SCHOOL MEET AT HERITAGE PARK
On Wednesday evening, our cross country teams raced at the Belton High School Meet at Heritage Park. The challenging two-mile course, combined with the hot weather, made for a tough race, but our athletes pushed through excellently. This meet also marked the team’s final competition before district next week, giving the runners one last chance to test themselves before the championship.
In the 7th grade boys’ race, Jace Ramesar led the way with a time of 19:15, followed by Weston Rodriguez with a time of 22:16.
For the 7th grade girls, Dahlia Dunkin ran a strong race, finishing in 16:59, while Ava Smith followed with a time of 17:44.
The 8th grade girls also had standout performances, led by Kate Jones, who ran an impressive 15:55, and Ava Boeselt, who finished in 17:36.
Despite the heat and difficulty of the course, our runners showed perseverance and continued improvement. The coaching staff is proud of their effort and looks forward to carrying this determination into the district meet next week.
