7A: The Belton Middle School 7A girls basketball team wrapped up their district tournament with a performance that truly reflected who they have become as a team. Throughout the tournament and the entire season, the Lady Tigers competed with energy, selflessness, and a strong commitment to one another. From the opening tip to the final buzzer, the team demonstrated tremendous teamwork, communicating on defense, sharing the ball on offense, and supporting each other in every situation. Their effort and unity were on full display, showing how much they have grown through consistent hard work and dedication. That growth has gone far beyond the scoreboard. Over the course of the season, these athletes have developed not only their basketball skills, but also their confidence, leadership, and character. They learned how to push through challenges, hold each other accountable, and celebrate both individual and team success. The coaching staff is extremely proud of this group and all they have accomplished together. The future is bright for these athletes, and there is great excitement in watching them continue their journey as eighth-grade basketball players next season. 7B: The BMS Lady Tigers 7B team competed with heart and determination at the District Tournament, putting together a strong showing that reflected their growth throughout the season. The Lady Tigers opened tournament play with an impressive win over SC Lee, setting the tone with energy, effort, and teamwork on both ends of the floor. In their second game, BMS faced Midway in a tightly contested matchup. The Lady Tigers battled until the final whistle, coming up just short in a close loss. Despite the outcome, the team never backed down and continued to play with grit, resilience, and focus, embodying the competitive spirit they have developed all season long. From start to finish, the Lady Tigers demonstrated how much they have improved through hard work and commitment. Spectators and coaching staff alike were proud of the team’s effort, growth, and determination, making their District Tournament run a fitting reflection of a season defined by progress and perseverance.
