BMS CROSS COUNTRY AT MCGREGOR INVITATIONAL

The Belton Middle School Cross Country team officially opened the 2026 season at the McGregor Invitational on Saturday, August 29. For this group, the start of the season is about much more than a race result. It is about building a program through hard work, dedication, and a willingness to do what it takes to get better. Our athletes have already shown that they are not afraid to wake up early, put in the work, and give their best effort, even on the weekend. That commitment is what will continue to move this program forward. While Belton Middle School did not place as a team at the McGregor Invitational, the meet provided valuable race experience and an opportunity for our athletes to see where they are and where they can go. Every race is another opportunity to compete, learn, and improve. The coaching staff is excited about the growth of this program and proud of the commitment our athletes are showing early in the season. We know that success in cross country does not happen overnight. It is built one practice, one mile, and one challenge at a time. We are excited to continue putting in the work, growing together, and seeing what this group can accomplish as the season progresses. The season is just getting started, and we are ready to keep working. Go Tigers! Complete meet results are available through MileSplit Texas (milesplit.com).
