The Belton Middle School Cross Country Team competed at the Bronco Middle School Invitational on September 16, showcasing their hard work, determination, and commitment throughout the meet. The highlight of the day came from two outstanding 8th-grade runners who both earned medals in the race! Dahlia Dunkin delivered an impressive performance, crossing the finish line in 14th place with a time of 16:38.74. Her strong finish earned her a well-deserved medal and was a great reflection of the work she has put in throughout the season. Ava Smith followed closely behind, earning an outstanding 15th-place finish with a time of 16:39.26. Ava also earned a medal, making it a fantastic day for BMS as two of our athletes finished among the top runners in the field. Having two BMS athletes medal at the same meet is a tremendous accomplishment, and Dahlia and Ava should be proud of the way they competed and represented Belton Middle School. While these two performances stood out, we are proud of every single BMS Cross Country athlete who competed at the Bronco Invitational. Each runner continues to push themselves, work hard, and grow throughout the season. Their dedication and willingness to compete for themselves and their teammates make this group special.
