First Girls Basketball Game of the Season!

FIRST GIRLS BASKETBALL GAME OF THE SEASON!

Last night, the Lady Tigers kicked off their season with an exciting matchup against the Bonham Lady Bulldogs. They showcased incredible determination and skill, holding their own on the court. Their defense was nothing short of spectacular, expertly navigating the challenges posed by their opponents. Despite facing some tough moments, the 8A team emerged victorious, demonstrating resilience and teamwork throughout the game. It was a fantastic start to the season! 8A: The 8A Lady Tigers played a great game on Monday that brought them to win 34-16. The team hustled and played amazing together. Anessa was a force to be reckoned with, both on defense and offense, being the highest scorer on the team for this game with 15 points. The Lady Tigers did a great job putting what they practiced to work on the court. 8B: The Lady Tigers had a fantastic opening night showcasing their defensive skills and outstanding teamwork. Leilani Perez was the leading scorer for the Lady Tigers scoring nine points for her team. Her offensive work and leadership helped her team shine on their opening night. Ca’miyah Scott had six rebounds leading her team in rebounds for the night. Ca’miyah is a rebounding machine with an incredible jumping skill. The overall team effort throughout the night was amazing, with every teammate not being afraid to get on the floor for a ball. The final score was 34-17 with the Lady Tigers taking the loss. They are excited to continue to learn and work hard for their next game on December 4th. 7A: The Lady Tigers delivered an impressive performance with a standout defensive effort. Emily Potts demonstrated her abilities by securing a significant number of rebounds and providing strong leadership on the court. Ava Baggett also had a remarkable night, making exceptional defensive plays and displaying determination. The entire team fought hard throughout the game, showcasing their passion, dedication, and leadership. Although the Lady Tigers faced a loss, they remain committed to working hard for their upcoming game. 7B: The 7B team fought their way back into the game with tenacious defense, scoring 7 crucial points. Kylie Capella was a standout player, making several impressive steals and sinking her first shot. She wasn’t alone in her efforts; Emma Noyola stepped up as a playmaker, calling the shots and also making her first basket. Lacey McKinney showcased her determination by powering through the defense to score her first layup, while Alivia Martinez made her presence felt with a key blocked shot. The teamwork and resilience displayed by the 7B team were truly inspiring!
