GIRLS BASKETBALL VS. NORTH BELTON

BMS showcased incredible determination against North Belton Middle School, refusing to back down or leave without leaving their mark. Even in the face of tough competition, the ladies were resolute in demonstrating their strength and resilience. Their performance ignited the crowd, filling the stands with cheers and excitement, as they captivated everyone with their unwavering spirit and skill. The atmosphere was electric, with fans rallying behind the team, celebrating every moment of their fierce battle on the court. BMS not only aimed to win but also to prove their toughness and tenacity, making a lasting impression that would resonate long after the final whistle. 8A: 8A team played their first home game vs. the North Belton Broncos. Anessa Ortiz put 4 points on the board, while Kylee Pierce and Kinsley Denbow put in work on defense. Ultimately, North Belton’s experienced players bested the Tigers and they lost 65-9. They are going to work hard in practice to improve their skills. 8B: The 8B Lady Tigers put in a great effort against the North Belton Broncos for their first home game of the season! They had a strong first half, with Ca’miyah Scott and Leilani Perez leading their team in rebounds. In addition, Annie Nickerson led her team in points while also making all of her free throw shots! After playing against a very talented team, the Lady Tigers lost 35-15 but will continue to work hard and improve every day for the rest of the season. 7A: 7A played their first home game against North Belton. Emily Potts contributed 2 points to the scoreboard and displayed leadership on the court throughout the night. Ava Baggett demonstrated determination and grit the entire time, never giving up. The North Belton Broncos took home the win. The Lady Tigers will continue working on their skills to prepare for Midway. 7B: The 7B Lady Tigers put on a remarkable display of skill and determination, effectively keeping North Belton's points low and proving they were not an easy target. Their performance solidified their place as champions in the hearts of their fans last night. Emma Noyola shone as the "Free Throw Queen," sinking three out of four attempts with precision. Jaylenne Prado showcased her fierce competitiveness, drawing fouls and demonstrating that she wouldn’t be pushed around easily. Meanwhile, Kate Jones exhibited her athleticism, leaving defenders scrambling as she darted around the court, proving to be nearly impossible to catch. Together, these talented athletes embodied the spirit of the Lady Tigers, leaving a lasting impression on everyone in attendance.
