BMS GIRLS BASKETBALL VS. COPPERAS COVE

The Lady Tigers faced off against the Copperas Cove Lady Bulldogs on unfamiliar territory, showcasing their tenacity and skill. With fierce determination, they battled fiercely on the court, leading to impressive victories for three teams and a nail-biting close game. The Lady Tigers proved that they are a force to be reckoned with, demonstrating that they are not an easy opponent to defeat. Their aggressive play and teamwork highlighted their commitment to excellence. This match solidified their reputation as a formidable team that should never be underestimated. 8A: The 8A Lady Tigers played an excellent game vs. the Lady Dawgs. The girls began the game a little bit slow. They managed to stay neck and neck with the Dawgs. After gathering together at half time, the girls got back into the game ready to charge forward. Kinsley Denbow did a great job both on offense and defense, beating every Cove player to the ball and scoring 12 points total. Reagan Ford also played admirably, never breaking a sweat and always playing her part. In the end BMS left Cove in the dust. The Lady Tigers won 31-20. 8B: The Lady Tigers had a fantastic night playing against the Lady Bull Dawgs in Copperas Cove. They ended the night winning their first game of the season while also beating their record of points scored! Five of the players on the BMS roster scored for their team resulting in an overall win of 40-10. Ca’miyah Scott’s offense was unstoppable as she scored an impressive 16 points. Her determination and ability to get around a defender and score was invaluable to her team. Leilani Perez stepped up as a leader playing as her team’s point guard for the evening and scoring a spectacular 14 points to help lead her team to victory. Her grit and toughness allowed her to have several fast breaks as she dove for the ball and took control of the court. The Lady Tigers played their best game so far this season showing immense effort and improvement over the last few weeks. What a great game to start 2025 off right! BMS looks forward to continuing to improve at their tournament in Jarrell this weekend. 7A: The 7A team faced a tough matchup against the Dawgs. Emily Potts showcased her defensive skills by blocking numerous shots and added to the team's score with her outstanding layups, totaling 6 points. Grace Thomas also delivered a strong performance, contributing 4 points and demonstrating great effort in securing offensive rebounds to support her team. The Lady Tigers will continue to work on their skills preparing for their tournament this weekend. 7B: Abigail Fulton showcased her impressive strength as she confidently attempted multiple three-pointers, demonstrating her skill from beyond the arc. Mallorie Cabiness displayed remarkable resilience, holding her ground against one of the team's largest opponents with unwavering determination. Kyle Cappella celebrated a milestone by sinking her first free throw, adding to the team's momentum with a well-placed shot. Emma Noyola also contributed significantly, providing a crucial assist that led to another successful basket. Together, these players exemplified teamwork and tenacity, making a lasting impact on the game. 6-4
