The Lady Tigers put on a nail-biting spectacle last night against Lamar Middle School, emerging victorious with style and flair! The 7B and 8A teams dominated the court, showcasing their skills and proving to the Lady Bearcats who’s truly in charge. But it was the 7A team that stole the show, delivering an electrifying performance that had everyone on the edge of their seats! In a thrilling back-and-forth battle, they fought valiantly, ultimately falling just one point short of victory. Their determination and grit were nothing short of impressive, leaving fans cheering for more! What an unforgettable night of fierce competition and heart-pounding excitement! 8A: The BMS 8A Lady Tigers secured an impressive win against Lamar Middle School, showcasing strong performances across the board. Reagan Ford was a force to be reckoned with. Not only did she steal the ball multiple times, creating key turnovers, but she also contributed 6 points to the team’s total. Ford’s defensive hustle and ability to create scoring opportunities were crucial to the team’s success. Leading the scoring for the Lady Tigers was Anessa Ortiz, who exploded offensively and put up a team-high 10 points. While the offense shined, the Tigers' defense was equally strong. Camiyah Scott and Linda Edwards both made their presence felt on the boards, grabbing crucial rebounds that limited Lamar’s opportunities. Their tenacious defense under the basket helped keep the opposition at bay and allowed BMS to control the tempo of the game.The Lady Tigers’ performed incredibly and it showed in their game versus Lamar. 7A: The Lady Tigers put up a great effort against Lamar Middle School, narrowly losing 24-23, demonstrating grit and determination throughout the entire game. Ynissa Wightman had an outstanding performance, scoring 13 points, which significantly contributed to her team's offense while showcasing her leadership on the court. Soley Torres also delivered a commendable performance, adding 4 points to the scoreboard and securing 4 rebounds. Grace Thomas had a great night as well, scoring 6 points, grabbing rebounds, and leading her team's defense. Although the Lady Tigers fell short, their efforts did not go unnoticed. They will continue to work on their skills in preparation for their home game on Monday, January 27th. 7B: The 7B team showcased their incredible skills last night, demonstrating not only their formidable defense but also their impressive offense. The hard work in practice truly paid off! Point guard Emma Noyola shone brightly, scoring 6 points and sealing the deal with a stunning three-pointer with just 46 seconds left on the clock. Abigail Fulton made her mark as well, showing remarkable improvement from the last game by sinking a beautiful shot from the elbow. Not to be outdone, Finely Burney stepped up and effortlessly added 4 points to the scoreboard, ensuring her fellow point guard didn’t steal all the spotlight. And let’s not forget Kylie Capella, who continues to be a powerhouse on the court, contributing 4 points to the team’s success. What a fantastic display of teamwork and talent!
